会计(ACCT)

The 会计 Option prepares students for careers in the preparation, 报告, 审计, 分析, and use of financial information. This program helps prepare graduates to earn their 注册会计师, CMA, and other professional certifications. Many graduates of the 埃西斯 department desire to become licensed or gain certification in their selected area of specialization.  Licensure as a Certified Public 会计 (注册会计师) is the best known. 学生 planning to sit for the 注册会计师 exam and ultimately become licensed in a particular state must meet the respective eligibility and licensure requirements of that state.  Please note that these requirements vary by state and 弗吉尼亚理工大学 recommends contacting the State Board of Accountancy in the state in which they wish to pursue licensure to ensure they understand the requirements.  另外, students should discuss with their advisor the several options and specific courses and electives 弗吉尼亚理工大学 provides for meeting the requirements to sit for the 注册会计师 exam and for licensure.

信息系统 审计 (ISA)

This program extends the 会计 major by adding additional training related to the 信息系统 aspects of accounting and 审计ing. It can help prepare students to become 信息系统 审计ors. It helps provide preparations for students to earn their 注册会计师, CISA (Certified 信息系统 审计师), and other professional certifications.
